Effective date: June 16, 2026 · Last updated: June 16, 2026
This policy is operated by Montgomery Media LLC ("ClipHuman", "we", "us", or "our").
It explains what information we collect when you use the ClipHuman service at
app.cliphuman.com (the "Service"), why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
ClipHuman is a creator tool that helps you record short-form video responses to prompts, automatically
edits them into clips, and publishes those clips to social media accounts you choose to connect. The data
controller responsible for your information is Montgomery Media LLC, contactable at
privacy@cliphuman.com.
2. Information we collect
Account & identity
Email address, used to sign you in (via a one-time PIN through our authentication provider, Cloudflare Access) and to identify your workspace.
Content you create
Video and audio recordings you capture through the Service, and the clips generated from them.
Titles, captions, prompts, and notes you write or that are generated for your clips.
Review and scheduling decisions (which clips you approve, reject, or schedule).
Connected social accounts
When you connect a social platform (for example LinkedIn, YouTube, or others we support), we receive and store
OAuth access and refresh tokens and basic profile information for that account
(such as account name, identifier, and profile image) so we can publish on your behalf. We request only the
permissions needed to publish the content you approve.
Inputs to AI features
To suggest topics and generate captions, we send relevant text (such as clip titles, prompts, and trending
search terms) to third-party AI providers. See How we share information.
Usage & technical data
Basic technical data such as IP address, browser/device type, and server logs, used for security and to operate the Service.
Which trending topics you view and limited product-usage events.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session with our scheduling
backend. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. How we use your information
To provide the Service: record, edit, caption, schedule, and publish your content.
To publish content to the social accounts you have connected, at your direction.
To generate topic suggestions and captions using AI providers.
To secure the Service, prevent abuse, debug, and meet legal obligations.
To communicate with you about the Service (e.g., service or security notices).
4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR/UK GDPR)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you sign up for.
Consent — when you connect a social account or use AI features; you may withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting the account or stopping use of the feature.
Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, and improve the Service, balanced against your rights.
Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with applicable law.
⚖️ Legal review: confirm legal-basis mapping and any consent-capture UI requirements with counsel before publishing.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers
("subprocessors") needed to operate the Service, and with the social platforms you choose to publish to:
Social platforms you connect (e.g., LinkedIn, Google/YouTube)
Publish the content you approve
Your clips, captions, and the OAuth permissions you grant
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and
security of our users and the Service. If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be
transferred subject to this policy.
6. Connected platforms and their terms
When you connect a third-party account, that platform's own privacy policy and terms also apply to the data they hold.
LinkedIn: we use LinkedIn's API only to authenticate your account and post content you approve
(the w_member_social permission), in accordance with the LinkedIn API Terms of Use. We do not
retain LinkedIn data beyond what is needed to provide the Service, and you can disconnect at any time.
We keep your recordings, clips, and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the
Service. You can delete clips and disconnect social accounts at any time. When you close your account or request
deletion, we delete or anonymize your personal data within [30] days, except where we must retain
it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
⚖️ Legal review: confirm concrete retention periods and any backup-deletion lag.
8. Security
We protect your information with measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), authenticated access
controls, and least-privilege access to stored credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely
secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International data transfers
We operate globally and our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses
for transfers of personal data outside the EEA/UK.
⚖️ Legal review: confirm transfer mechanism and provider DPAs/SCCs are in place.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
Restrict or object to certain processing.
Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@cliphuman.com. We will respond
within the timeframe required by applicable law.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request
deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell
or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use it
for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under
16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and,
for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you
accept the revised policy.
